Quiet Flow

A focus interface that speaks only at decision points, using progressive disclosure instead of persistent controls and notifications.

Tangled fine lines converging into one luminous path through concentric rings
Quiet does not mean hiding information; it means revealing it at the right moment.

Experience principle

Treat attention as finite

The interface replaces a full task list with “now, next, later.” Secondary controls live in context and notifications become boundary summaries, allowing each screen to answer one question.

Three layers of subtraction

  1. 01

    Screen

    One intent at a time

The main view keeps only the current task and its completion condition.

  2. 02

    Controls

    Appear in context

Available actions appear only after selection or at a decision point.

  3. 03

    Feedback

    Replace noise with closure

State changes use brief, reversible feedback rather than persistent banners.
