Connecting floor interaction and the interface
3D models, interface layouts and video connect floor interactions with visual feedback.
Turning the venue into play
The archival demo video shows visitors entering the projection area as the floor visuals respond to movement. My contribution covered modeling, interface design, video editing and the relationships between installation triggers and UI layout.
Scenes from the venue
A visible entry point for visitors
Floor markers and visitor positions make the starting point legible. These frames come from the archival venue video.
Scene scale and visual transitions
Design and production
Visual cues and a planned visitor journey help people understand the current state and what to do next.
Design details and outcome
Official Identity V assets inform the QTE feedback, trigger zones and buttons to guide visitors. I reassembled existing 3D assets and built some levels from scratch. The experience was publicly exhibited at the Taipei 101 89th-floor observatory from October 19 to 31, 2021.
